Bill Sallee bought
his first bass in high school in 1971 when he discovered that ownership
of such a thing not only automatically guaranteed membership in BAND,
but allowed him to hang out with much COOLER kids than his previous
gang. Since then Bill has been told to
turn down and
play fewer notes in almost every style of music including C&W,
Folk, Blues, Texas singer/songwriter, classic rock (when it wasn’t yet
and then again later too), original rock, contemporary worship, and
combo and big band jazz.
Since moving to the
Dallas area in 1988, Bill has provided the low notes and grimaces for
bands such as Fishart (1993-1996) , a seven piece quirky original rock
band that played all over the Metroplex including appearances at Caravan
of Dreams and the Main Stage at Taste of Dallas; Texas singer
songwriter, Zen Bubba; ‘Round Midnight, jazz combo w/ Mike Garvey on
piano; Stacy Williams, Jazz vocalist; Hang Time, Jazz combo w/Paul
Miller on drums; Pecos River Brass, big band w/Paul; and the Jimmy Mac
Blues Band.
Bill joined Revival
in May 2006.
